WASHINGTON, DC, U.S.A., January 2, 2013: SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association has appointed two experienced trade show professionals to positions that will be critical for producing the NPE2015 international plastics exposition, it was announced today by Gene Sanders, SPI’s senior vice president of trade shows and conferences.

Lori Campbell has joined SPI’s trade show team as director of operations. She will draw on a background of more than 30 years in the management of shows and conferences. Most recently she was senior director of sales and marketing for Solar Energy Tradeshows, LLC.

Brad Williams, the team’s new director of marketing and sales, has come to SPI from the National Association of Broadcasters, where he held senior roles focused on the growth and long-term health of their annual convention, the NAB show.

“The expertise and new perspectives that Brad and Lori bring to SPI will help us create an NPE2015 that surpasses the resounding success of our 2012 show,” said Mr. Sanders. “Our plan is to generate innovations that will make participation at NPE2015 easier and more profitable for exhibitors while providing valuable new content for attendees.”

NPE is a triennial exposition founded and produced by SPI. NPE2015 will take place March 23-27, 2015 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Lori Campbell: Director of Operations

Ms. Campbell’s responsibilities for NPE2015 include directing service contractors, working with industry representatives on the Operations Committee, participating in budget preparation, and assisting SPI staff to create and implement design and other show features.

Since the start of her career in 1978, Lori Campbell has held responsibilities in all phases of trade show management, including finance, sales, operations, exhibit programs, conference planning, production, housing, and registration. She comes to SPI from Solar Energy Tradeshows, where, as senior director of sales and marketing, she was responsible for the implementation, measurement, and overall evaluation of all revenue-generating activities for combined annual events drawing more than 26,000 attendees and with more than 400,000 sq.ft. (37,200 sq.m) of exhibit space.

Among her previous positions were those of senior director of exhibit sales for the Food Marketing Institute; chief operating officer of the Convention Management Group; and general manager of GES Exposition Services.

Brad Williams: Director of Marketing and Sales

Mr. Williams will oversee marketing and sales targeting NPE2015 exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees. He will direct the activities of contractors and SPI staff involved in advertising and other promotion, website development, international sales, media negotiations, and public relations. He will also work with industry representatives on the NPE2015 Marketing and Sales Committee.

Brad Williams joined the National Association of Broadcasters in 1997. His last position before coming to SPI was that of vice president of strategic initiatives, with high-level responsibilities, including strategic planning, revenue growth, and strategic account management for the NAB Show. This annual event typically has more than 800,000 sq.ft. (74,300 sq.m) of exhibit space and draws between 90,000 and 100,000 attendees.
